Pro-Series Gains Momentum as Seven More Teams Join Tour

5/09/2007 - The Offshore Pro-Series continues to garner interest amongst the ranks of professional offshore racers as it heads into the first points race of the season, on June 15th in Ocean City, Maryland.

Seven more teams have announced their intentions to participate in the 2007 Tour. They are:   Cintron (Cat Extreme)
                            Big Thunder (Super Cat)
                            JEM (Super Cat)
                            Learning The Ropes (Cat Lite)
                            Peppers (Cat Lite)
                            Showtime (Cat Lite)
                            Pour It On (Cat Lite)
                                                                                                   
This brings the total number of Tour participants to 18.

With the level of racer interest expanding beyond the Super Cat and Cat Extreme class boats, the Tour is planning a Super Cat Lite race at the Ocean City, Maryland June event.

The Offshore Pro-Series Tour is comprised of a consortium of professional offshore powerboat racing teams that compete on a nationwide circuit of powerboat races, sanctioned by OSS, SBI, OPA and POPRA. In 2007 the Tour includes the following scheduled races:                        
                  St. Cloud, Florida       March 30 – April 1
                  Ocean City, Maryland      June 15 – June 17
                  Sarasota, Florida         June 29 – July 1
                  St. Clair, Michigan       July 27 – July 29
                  Orange Beach, Alabama    August 17 – August 19
                  Pittsburg, California    September 7 – September 9
                  Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri September 28 – September 30
                  Deerfield Beach, Florida      October 5 – October 7
                  Key West, Florida          November 4 – November 11
